Thomas E. Serena, MD, FACS,
Chief Executive Officer
Founder and Medical Director of the Penn North Centers For Advanced Wound Care is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The College of William and Mary and Penn State Medical School. He completed his residency in Surgery at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Southern Illinois University. He is a Professor at Gannon University in Erie Pennsylvania where his research team focuses on the latest developments in wound healing and has developed an acute wound-healing model. |

Anthony Serena
Chief Operating Officer
Anthony graduated magna cum laude from St. Vincent College, Latrobe, Pa. and studied as a National Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Claremont Graduate School, Claremont, CA. After serving four years as a Special Agent in the FBI, he spent seven years as the CEO of a publicly listed merchant building company. He established his own Architectural Building and Development firm, which he has operated for the past twenty-five years in Massachusetts. |

Richard J Morris, CFO
Richard is a versatile healthcare executive with over twenty-five years of senior management experience in hospital operations, financial management, business development and strategic planning within complex healthcare organizations. In his last position Mr. Morris was Sr. Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for Yale New Haven Health System at Bridgeport where he was responsible for the day-to-day financial operations, which included bottom line accountability for a $500 million health system-operating budget. |

Jack Marnoni
Vice President
Jack joined SerenaGroup in August 2006 as Vice President of Development. He has spend the last 15 years responsible for the growth of organizations, both through business development for traditional companies, and expanding the scope of nonprofit initiatives.

Tim Mayhugh. LPN, CHT, CHWS
National Safety Director
Tim serves as a clinician, educator, and safety director for hyperbaric services. He is responsible for the orientation, credentialing, and competencies of the hyperbaric staff. He is a member of UHMS and NBDHMT. Tim holds a national certification as a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist. He is a frequent speaker for Hyperbaric/Wound Care symposiums. Tim attended the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Business Administration. He successfully managed a printing and mailing firm for over 20 years. He then completed a nursing education. Tim’s special interests include complex wound care and research that expands indications for hyperbaric medicine. |

Sharon McConnell, MS, CCRC
Director of NewBridge Medical Research
Sharon J. McConnell, MS, CCRC became the Director of NewBridge Medical Research in May 2008. She has 12 years of previous clinical research experience in cancer and orthopaedic research. She graduated from Gannon University in Erie, PA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science (Biology/Physician Assistant Program) and Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration. She is also a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). Sharon has coordinated multiple clinical trials, served on many task forces looking at outcomes in medical treatment, and is co-author on several publications in orthopaedic research. |

Market Development Executive
Mr. Boyer has been involved in the development and operations of Twenty Five Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Centers the past seven years. Mr. Boyer has 25 years of experience in the development, marketing and operation leadership of managed health care programs, organizations and networks nationwide. He combines expertise in business development (sales, marketing, joint ventures, and acquisitions) with equally strong qualifications in strategic planning, business management and P&L management. |

Heather L Young
Corporate Controller
Heather Young graduated with high distinction from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 2007. Professionally, she is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served on the Board eof the local chapter of the American Red Cross. Prior to joining the SerenaGroup in 2006 as the Corporate Controller/Human Resource Administrator, Heather was in public practice for 7 years. |

Rachel Thayer
Executive Assistant/Event Coordinator
Rachel Thayer joined the SerenaGroup in 2010, having just earned her Bachelors degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She has several years of office experience and two years of event planning experience in Conference Services at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Since her start with the SerenaGroup she has been instrumental in the successful planning and implementation of five national courses in hyperbaric medicine and wound care. |

Nina moved to the United States from Russia in 2000. She obtained her Medical Office Assistant and Medical Billing & Coding Certificates from Great Lakes Institute of Technology in Erie, PA in 2004. She has worked for the SerenaGroup since 2005 managing the Wound & Hyperbaric Clinic at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA. |
